Acupuncture can be provided as a complimenting or supplement treatment to assist your recovery. It reduces inflammation, and increases blood flow, oxygen, and nutrients to the injured region.
Cupping & gua sha (scraping)
Cupping and Gua Sha are both Chinese physical therapies used to relieve inflammation, pain, and increase mobility. Gua Sha, also known as “scraping”, is performed in a scraping-like motion. The purpose of Gua Sha and cupping is to stimulate blood flow with intention to provoke heat, increase oxygen and nutrients, elasticity, and work as an anti-inflammatory.
Chinese Herbs
At Your Acupuncture Clinic we take a stepped, holistic approach to ensure you get the most from your treatment. Along with acupuncture, cupping, Gua Sha, and Tai Chi, we prescribe Chinese herbs (capsules) to help you return to your peak performance.
Depending on your conditions, it may be suggested that a combination of methods be used as a part of your treatment.
